La Storia
|
Società fondata nel lontano 1947, da un gruppo di amici appassionati del calcio, allora, l’unico gioco praticato nel locale campo Parrocchiale, tra cui spicca la figura storica di Edgardo Casotti, giocatore , dirigente , segretario e presidente onorario, scomparso a inizio 2018. Da ricordare "l'anima" dell'unione sportiva Vezzanese Ghidoni Prospero scomparso a novembre 2010, direttore sportivo, custode, dirigente.
Importanti annate sportive a inizio anni 90 grazie ad un gruppo di giocatori di rilievo, grazie in particolar modo alla presenza di Giorgio Negrisolo come giocatore/allenatore ex professionista di serie A residente in quegli anni a Vezzano Sul Crostolo. Dopo anni difficili nel 2005 si e' ripartiti con il settore giovanile e una rifondazione organizzativa grazie all'ingresso di nuovi dirigenti provenienti dal Montalto Calcio che hanno partecipato per anni al Torneo della Montagna di Calcio organizzato dal Csi di Reggio Emilia. Rifondazione culminata con il ritorno in 1° Categoria nella stagione sportiva 2011/2012 grazie al 1° posto nel girone E di 2° categoria stagione 2010/2011. Dopo 6 anni di permanenza in 1* categoria regionale e proprio nell'anno del 70ennale della societa' al termine di un'emozionante e appassionante duello con la Castelnovese /Meletolese il 6 maggio 2018 all'ultima giornata di campionato , la scavalcava e vinceva il proprio girone C . Quindi per la prima volta nella sua storia parteciperà al campionato Regionale di Promozione nella stagione 2018/2019.
